About myself
Beneath the surface of our daily lives lies a world of unspoken thoughts, forgotten stories, and patterns—waiting to be explored.
I’m Reshmi, a Clinical Psychologist with a passion for understanding the complexities of the human mind. I completed my training at the University of the Western Cape and have since spent over two years working in the public health sector, gaining experience in both psychotherapy and psychological assessment across diverse settings.
During my internship at Tygerberg Hospital and the Stikland Psychiatric Complex, I worked in a variety of specialized units, including Acute Wards, Personality Wards, the Neuropsychiatric Adult Outpatient Department, and the Child and Adolescent Unit. I continued this journey during my community service year at Helen Joseph Hospital, where I worked primarily in the Adult Outpatient Department and provided care in both the male and female Acute Psychiatric Wards.
Through these experiences, I have developed a strong foundation in a multitude of psychological assessments, including:
Neuropsychological Assessments
Personality Assessments
Pre-surgical Assessments for Bariatric and Plastic Surgery.
In addition to assessments, I facilitated Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) groups, therapeutic groups, and provided individualized therapy, working alongside individuals navigating acute crises, personality dynamics, and long-term emotional difficulties.
My approach is deeply rooted in providing a safe, reflective space—one that allows for the exploration of unconscious patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape our lives. I believe that through understanding ourselves, we create the potential for change, growth, and connection.
If you’re ready to begin this journey—through therapy, psychological assessment, or both—I invite you to take the first step. Let’s start the conversation.
